Up for sale, a Fender Lite Ash Stratocaster in excellent condition and in perfect working order. This desirable and discontinued model was produced by Fender in Korea in the Cort factory, and has an array of desirable features that arguably outperform many USA made Strats! With a lightweight ash body, birdseye maple neck and trio of Seymour Duncan single coil pickups, this Strat has a very traditional and chimey Fender tone. The midrange fullness and cut of ash helps this Strat deliver a tone that has every bit as much sparkle and twang as a great Fender should deliver, and the instrument has a surprisingly present acoustic voice as well. Professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar, this Lite Ash Strat is strung with 10-46 strings with low action and solid intonation.
The birdseye maple neck has a pronounced V profile and satin finish that's smooth on the palm for quickly navigating the fretboard. The maple board boasts abalone dot inlay and the flatter, modern Fender 9.5" fretboard radius. The fretwire is nearly flawless, with well rounded crowns and slightly more height and width to the stock frets than vintage wire (Fender advertises this wire as "medium jumbo" but it's actually just shy of that size) . The headstock retains the original Schaller style Ping tuning machines, which turn smoothly and hold pitch well.
